Case Study: How I Optimized the SEO of a Naturopath Website in a Highly Targeted Local Market

Optimizing the visibility of a natural health practitioner's website requires a technical, human, and sensitive approach. In 2025, I supported Anne-Sophie Dolhem , a naturopath and reflexologist based in Buis-les-Baronnies (Drôme), in improving the SEO performance of her website annesophiedolhem.fr .


This project is a good example of what well-thought-out natural referencing can bring to a liberal activity, anchored locally but open to fundamental themes (menopause, stress, thyroid, etc.).

Objectives: to better appear locally and broaden the reach of health content


The initial request was twofold:

  • Improve local SEO on geolocated queries such as naturopath Buis-les-Baronnies , reflexologist Vaison-la-Romaine , etc.

  • Optimize health content to capture national traffic on topics such as stress, hypertension, menopause, or PMS.


It was therefore necessary to work on two levels: local and thematic , with strong editorial constraints (rigor, clarity, sobriety).


Results obtained after optimization


  • 43 keywords on the rise in May 2025

  • Local queries in position 1 : naturopath buis-les-baronnies , reflexologist buis , reflexology buis-les-baronnies .

  • Thematic keywords are on the rise, such as:

    • stress and weight gain solutions (+89 places),

    • ashwagandha menopause (+12 places),

    • anti-cortisol food (+70 places).

  • An on-page SEO score of 96/100 , proof of a healthy structure that complies with standards


Steps of optimization


1. Audit and prioritization of content

I first carried out a complete audit : tags, structure, internal meshing, readability of texts, semantic density.

The result: a clear site, but with insufficiently exploited content, overly generic tags, and little-developed local visibility.

2. Local Page Optimization

I worked on the home and presentation pages with a dual objective:

  • integrate specific local expressions into tags and paragraphs,

  • structure each page around a single, clear axis : naturopathy, reflexology, sophrology.

3. Creation and rewriting of high-potential content

Several articles have been optimized or written to target queries such as:

  • thyroid and menopause ,

  • stress and hypertension ,

  • anti-stress diet ,

  • premenstrual syndrome (PMS) .


These pages respond to frequent searches, while respecting a professional editorial line , without over-promises or vague formulations.


4. Technical structuring and networking

Each page has been reviewed to:

  • integrate coherent H1/H2 titles,

  • improve internal meshing (links between health pages),

  • enrich images with descriptive ALT tags,

  • strengthen mobile readability.


A more visible and better positioned site


Thanks to this work:

  • The site is at the top of the results in its target locations .

  • He is making steady progress on complex but high-volume health topics.

  • It is better understood by Google , with a clear architecture and enriched content.

  • It is also more useful for patients , with educational, concrete articles, without jargon.

The annesophiedolhem.fr project demonstrates that SEO is a key to empowerment for wellness practitioners . It allows them to gain visibility, showcase their expertise, and reach people who are genuinely seeking natural support.
